Calling all fossil fiends!
A rare opportunity is coming to the Lakes Region Library in Inverness for anyone with an interest in our prehistoric past in the form of this multi-part library event. Go through the process of preparing a series of jacketed mystery fossils by opening the jacket, cleaning, and preparing them for display.
The program will begin on August 25th with a presentation on the background of the jacket and what to expect the following day. On August 26th, we will open and work on stabilizing and cleaning the jacket contents. Once opened and cleaned, our paleontologist will identify them.
Seating is limited and registration is required. Please register with our online calendar, in person, or by calling us at (352) 726-2357.
