Join scientists Leslie Moore and Pat Gould of the SETS Foundation as they pass along some of their expertise on fossilized and modern seashells found in Florida.

Learn about the ancestral history of Florida’s seashells by looking at the fossilized shells which were found in quarries and sand pits, along with current shells found along the beaches in Florida. Follow along with Leslie, a Malacologist Cataloger at the Smithsonian’s Seashell collection, as she takes you through the seashell families found along Florida’s shoreline.

About the branch

The Central Ridge Branch is located on the corner of Forest Ridge Blvd and Roosevelt Blvd in Beverly Hills. This location houses a community rooms, 2 study rooms and a computer lab.
