Memphis born, Long Island raised, musician/guitar builder Pete Mehrmann will be at Homosassa Public Library to discuss and play music with guitars he built with repurposed materials.
Since 2001, he has used a wide variety of repurposed materials in the design and construction of his acoustic and electric guitars. His first guitar was made from grape and onion crates, along with the abalone from a recycled watch. He has continued from there, using materials you never would relate with music, creating guitars with great artistry and timbre. People interested in music, wood crafting, and upcycling can come in to enjoy an hour of music and discussion with Pete Mehrmann.
