Join the Lakes Region Library in welcoming Max Schulman, author of "Treasures of the Trails". Max will be discussing his book and all the experiences our trails can offer.

Author “Max" Schulman is a retired USAF aviator and DIA Intelligence Officer. He made traveling the world a 40 year career. Like all the members of the "Treasures of the Trails" team, he is an environmental activist who is passionate about our community. In their “Treasures of the Trails – Citrus County Trilogy”, Max and graphic artist / lead photographer/ cartographer Tom Craig have created detailed guides to the natural resources of our county. Their glovebox gazetteers cover hiking, biking, the best birding areas, kayaking (written with Matt Clemons), and kayak fishing (authored by Gary Rankel) in great detail - all while providing extraordinary maps to get you to the most magical locations on the Nature Coast. Max will be discussing the series, its impact on our county and current issues in the local "trails community."
