Meet paranormal author Maxim Furek as he presents on the topic of his new book, "The Smurl Haunting."

Venturing far beyond the West Pittston coal region, author Maxim W. Furek’s narrative explores the dark crawlspaces of High Hopes, the Hindsdale House, the Welles House, and good and evil, as seen through the eyes of history’s foremost exorcists and psychics, such as the mysterious Fr. Alphonsus Trabold O.F.M and Alexander Tanous.

Maxim has been interviewed on paranormal talk shows, including George Noory’s Coast to Coast and Art Bell’s Midnight in the Desert, and was a guest speaker at the 2025 Butler Paranormal Conference. He is a Hernando resident, a Vietnam Veteran, and an active member of the Citrus Writers of Florida.
